TMP302: Trip point accuracy

Part Number: TMP302

Hi, the trip point accuracy for TMP302 is shown as +-0.2C typical, +-2C maximum.

+-0.2C would be brilliant for my application, but +-2C is not good.  Can you provide any information about the difference between typical and maximum trip point values, e.g. what are the variables that cause the trip point to go so far beyond the typical values.

Thanks!

  • Hi Bob,

The typical spec was observed on a random sample of devices operating under nominal supply and temperature conditions. This is treated as 1sigma. Min/Max spec covers the worst observed variation over the allowed temperature and supply range, plus sigma guardbanding to ensure we don't ship product which doesn't meet Min/Max spec. Figure 1 shows observed error on the random sample of devices.

    thanks,

    ren
