AWR1642:1GHz bandwidth bin resolution and DC Term issues in the 76~77GHz frequency band

Part Number: AWR1642

Currently, we encounter a situation where the target cannot be detected at 20~30cm in front of the radar and the detection performance at 30~40cm is poor, as shown in the figure below (unit: cm):

X : Unable to detect target    Triangle : poor detection performance

Observed from Range FFT, the target is wrapped in DC Term.
There is no target in front of the radar:

The target is placed within the DC Term:

If the target is placed outside the DC Term range, the detection capability will be normal.

Current parameters:
profileCfg 0 76.00 7 7 50 517 0 20 1 136 3200 0 0 48

The calculated Bin Resolution is approximately 9.3cm

We need better resolution to detect targets.

I would like to ask what the best bin resolution is for 77GHz bandwidth 1GHz?

We try to use the function of calibDcRangeSig to reduce the DC Term. It can be effectively reduced at first, but when the target is placed in front and then taken away, or after waiting for a period of time, the DC Term will rise again.

Current parameters:
calibDcRangeSig 0 1 -5 7 512

Want to know why DC Term will rise again?

Is there any way to effectively reduce the impact of DC Term for a long time to detect close targets?
