DRV425: Difference between the Evalboard and the data sheet

Part Number: DRV425

Hello everyone, why is there a difference between the circuitry in the Evalboard and the data sheet?

For example, on the Evalboard COMP1 is connected directly to DRV1.

Best regards, Uli

  • Hello Uli,

There is current that needs to flow from DRV1 to Comp1 then back from Comp 2 to DRV2.  Where the Rshunt is placed does not have an impact as you are measuring the same current.  How you connect the AINP and AINN will give you a positive or negative.  The two images you gave as an example will give you opposite sign of the field.  This can be changed by changing the connection to AINP and AINN.

I would go with what makes you layout easier.

    Regards,

    Javier
