i want to measure the direction of the motor by measuring the flus of 3 phase induction motor . But i am not getting the correct direction every time . so there are some reason i found may be
Due to sensor axis sensitivity direction . In my case it is perpendicular to the axis ..
any suggestion or can we measure the speed and direction by the flux with the sensor.........

Hello Rahul,

Thank you for your post.

Normally the enclosure changes the field seen outside the motor as it bends the flux from a motor (assuming it is enclosed by metal or ferromagnetic material).

I assume you are measuring the magnetic field externally with the DRV425?

If this is the case, you would not get the exact field as all the phases will interact along with material that surrounds the motor.

If you are looking a the shaft with a magnetic then this would be different.

Are you looking form something like this TI video below?

Hi Joe, Thanks for quick reply, I have attached the image the way I am measuring the flux for the flux and direction of motor and the speed of rotor.
There is no any ferromagnetic material in device. I have to measure the flux around the motor with two drv sensor and analyze the data for the same.
in my case I am getting the right direction with the specific positions not for all the positions.
Is there any sensitivity axis alignment issue? or i have to need any other sensor for the application. let me know if you need any further information.
