TDC1000: TDC1000 + TDC7200 + MSP430F5529...

Hi Team,

The customer wants to use TDC1000 and TDC7200 for ultrasonic flow meter design.

Now there are TDC7200EVM and MSP-EXP430F5529LP on hand and which TDC1000 board should be used for them?

Is it TDC1000-C2000EVM? which GUI will be needed for such configuration?

Another question is, customer will use 1MHz and 2Mhz transducer, does TDC1000 support both of them?

    Hello Peter,

    Thanks for posting to the sensors forum. The TDC1000 is no longer the recommended device for flow sensing due a bug that causes a loss in accuracy.

    The recommended device is the MSP430FR604x series of microcontrollers since they provide better accuracy. If they would like to continue evaluating with the TDC1000 then the right board would be the TDC1000-C2000EVM. This uses a a C2000 as a timer for the signal which is not as accurate as the timer found in the TDC7200.

    We no longer offer the TDC1000-TDC72000 board that puts both devices together on one board for evaluation together.

    The TDC1000 supports 1MHz and 2MHz transducers.
