I found the following simulation tool on TI HP.

Is there a tool that can simulate using a magnet covered with cloth or plastic like an actual product, instead of just a magnet like this tool?

    Hi Nishie,

    Many materials are not ferromagnetic and have no effect on magnetic flux and therefore do not interfere with device or magnet performance. Most fabrics and plastics are non-magnetic. TI Magnetic Sense Simulator (TIMSS) is suitable for these cases.

    Materials like iron, nickel, and other ferromagnetic metals will have an impact on magnetic fields.
