Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2944
Tool/software:
Hi,
When debugging with the AWR2944, sampling works normally with the official default parameters.
However, when using custom-configured waveform parameters, it was observed through the mmWaveStudio host operation that the acquired AD data exhibits chirp data loss.
This is characterized by consecutive missing chirps across all four receiving channels corresponding to each frame of data.
The configuration of the waveform parameters is as follows:
A single waveform has been configured, enabling the channel tx1. Each frame consists of 128 chirps, with a frame period of 40 ms, and a total of 20 frames are transmitted. The four receiving channels rx1-4 simultaneously acquire AD data. Post-processing results show that the signals for the 8th to 13th chirps on rx1 are missing or completely lost.
The following figure presents the sampling results for the 8th chirp on rx1, revealing that some sampling data is missing.
The following figure presents the sampling results for the 9th chirp on rx1, revealing that all sampling data is missing.
Except for the 9th chirp, the data for the 10th, 11th, and 12th chirps is also missing.
The following figure presents the sampling results for the 13th chirp on rx1, revealing that part of sampling data is missing.
We attempted to change the idletime to 60μs, which resolved the issue, but we are still unclear about the underlying cause. Additionally, we do not wish to change this parameter. How should we analyze this problem? Thank you very much for your response.

Liliang
