AWR1843AOP: Use MRR beamsteering on AWR1843AOP

MRR Beamsteering demo supports only MRR subframe mode. Other two modes are not supported in MRR Beamsteering demo. Since you will be receiving the pointcloud over UART, you should be able to calculate the angle.

It is described "The demo supports 3mode of operation" on MRR beamsteering Users Guide. (Please see the image) 

Is this a mistake? 

2) Which method has better 3D angle measurement accuracy, A) or B)? 

 A) AOA calculated using TDM-MIMO 

 B) AOA calculated using MRR beamsteering

Let me correct the statement in the previous reply. If you use MRR+USRR mode, only MRR subframe will provide correct output.

Beamsteering will help in achieving longer range detection in a particular direction.

    Regarding angular measurement accuracy, which is better, A) or B)? 

    A) AOA calculated using TDM-MIMO 

   B) AOA calculated using MRR beamsteering 

In MRR mode of *WR1843AOP, the phase of the signals transmitted from the three transmitting antennas cannot be distinguished, so the angular resolution of MRR mode is the value(2/N_rx) calculated by number of the receiving antennas. Thus, MRR mode of *WR1843AOP is 2Dimension detection, not 3Dimension detection.

Is that correct?
