TMP75-Q1: TMP75AQDGKRQ1 supply voltage

Part Number: TMP75-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP75, TMP110, TMP1075

Tool/software:

hello there,

I want to confirm the supply voltage for TMP75_Q1 component, and it can be found in datasheet, that is from 2.7V to 5.5V. But the confuse is when it is supplied with 1.8V, it seems like it also can work correctly,

So my question: Is TMP75_Q1 compatible with 1.8V power supply actually in application design?

thanks!

  • Hi Tim,

While the TMP75 may start powering up at less than 2.7V, however we only guarantee the performance of the device as specified in the 2.7-5.5V operating range. Using the sensor outside of this recommended operating range could have different/worse performance than the datasheet spec.

If you need a lower power device, I recommend taking a look at TMP1075. This device is package/pinout/software compatible with TMP75, has supply range of 1.62-5.5V, and improved temperature accuracy. If cost savings and size are more imperative and you're ok with a different package/pinout, then TMP110 offers similar accuracy with a 1.14-5.5V supply range and 5-X2SON package.

    Hope this helps!

    Best,

    Sakeenah
