TMP117: TMP11x read rate vis update rate & data ready timing

Tool/software:

if I configure the TMP117 or TMP119 or ... for  Continuous Conversion mode at a rate faster than I read the temperature result regs, will the results always be valid?  in other words, will I need to check the data ready flag every time I wish to read the 2 temperature bytes or can I just grab and go?

    Hello Marty,

    If you are sampling the TMP117/TMP119 at a slower rate than the configured conversion rate you might miss some temperature updates in between sampling, but otherwise there should be no need to check the data ready flag each time.
