AWR6843AOPEVM: Is there a Out-Of-Box Demo for Range FFT using DSP ?

By default the Out-of-Box demo for IWR6843ISK does the range processing on the HWA then continues with doppler, CFAR and AoA processing on the DSP but you can change this so that the range processing is also done on the DSP. There is a predefined symbol,  OBJDET_NO_RANGE, that should be removed. Then the demo can be rebuilt using rangeprocDSP. You can import the 6843ISK demo from the radar toolbox then remove OBJDET_NO_RANGE for both the mss and dss projects in the project properties or you could remove it from the .projectspec files in the radar toolbox before importing the projects to CCS.

Hi, 

Sorry for the slow response. Yes, you are correct that mmw_res.h will also need to be modified to specify which hw resources are needed for the range DPU on the DSP (EDMA channels). Also I wanted to point out that the Out of Box demo for IWR1642 does actually do all processing (including range FFT) on the DSP. It may be helpful to refer to the source code for that demo as you modify the 6843 demo.
