TMP101: TMP101NA/250G4 Alert pin can be pull up with 1.8V or not?

Hi,

I am using TMP101NA/250G4 in my design , just want to know can we pull up alert with 1.8V since my processor IO level is 1.8V? But TMP101NA/250G4 V+ is 3.3V.

Hello Sagar,

I would recommend keeping VDD on the supply line and the pull up the same for TMP101. The specification for supply voltage is between 2.7V and 5.5V. We cannot guarantee performance of the device at 1.8V. TMP118 can have different supplies for VDD and the pullup and can go down to 1.4V. Is a small and accurate solution.

Yes, you may pull Alert pin to 1.8V. Alert is an open-drain output that is not bound by supply. If it were bound by supply, it would be noted in the absolute max table.

As a side note, TMP102, TMP110, and TMP1075 support 1.8V operation, have better accuracy, power consumption and lower cost.
