TMCS1126-Q1: Circuit configuration for VREF and VOC pins in TMCS1126-Q1 Differential mode noise reduction

Part Number: TMCS1126-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi TMCS1126-Q1 I have a question

If you look at the TMCS1126-Q1 application note, use L5, C7 when VREF is output to the outside, we have 20nF for VREF, we use resistance voltage distribution to create VOC, and the circuit is configured only inside without outputting outside

Q1. Is it necessary to apply L5 and C7 even when I don't take out VREF pins to the outside?

Q2. If you look at the application notes, I connected the VOC with VS, but in what case should I connect it?

  • Hi engineer,

Q1. When you say "don't take VREF pins to the outside" do you mean that you are not using the VREF pin? If your original plan is to leave VREF disconnected then you do not need L5 and C7.

Q2. There is a section in the datasheet that explains overcurrent detection and what value to set VOC to. If you look at the datasheet it says to connect VOC to VS if not used which is what you see in the schematic you sent.

    Best,

    Holly
