Hello,

I have another problem with speed. When my target is moving at 6 km/h, I cannot detect the distance between the target and the sensor when it is at 90°. I am using a BPM-MIMO configuration. How can I solve this problem?

Do you mean that the angle between the target and the normal to the surface of the sensor is 90 degrees?

The Field of View of the Antenna is around 60 degrees

As you can see, on object will not be detected at 90deg

My sensor is an AWR1243boost, the high gain of the antenna is at 0°, so the target and the sensor must be perpendicular.

Please take a look at the snapshot below. When the angle alpha increases, at some point the object will no longer be detected. This angle depends on the reflectivity of the object. Usually, for the AWR1243BOOST antenna the alpha angle when objects are no longer detected is around 55-60 degrees.

When alpha=90deg, the object will not be detected
