IWRL6432AOP: Does the native algorithm of IWRL6432AOP support the following scenarios?

Part Number: IWRL6432AOP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843AOP, IWR6843, IWRL6432

  1. People counting in a freely designated area of a space
  2. People counting for entry and exit in a designated space
  3. Bed exit detection
  4. Prolonged sitting detection
  5. Are the functionalities of the native algorithm consistent with the IWR6843AOP?
  • Hello,

I'm sorry for the delayed response here as this thread was previously missed.

The scenarios you mentioned can be supported with this device however, for things like bed exit detection/prolonged sitting detection, these are not native outputs from the device or any of our example software, though this type of application can definitely be developed by adding/modifying some logic in the software.

Are the functionalities of the native algorithm consistent with the IWR6843AOP?

In general the answer is yes. You can perform the same functions with IWRL6432 as IWR6843 however, due to several factors such as less antennas, memory, and processing power the performance of the IWRL6432 will be lower than that of IWR6843.

    Best regards,

    Josh
