IWR6843AOPEVM: Query on Differential Pair Impedance Calculation for IWR6843AOPEVM PCB

Hello,

I would like to understand the methodology used for differential pair impedance calculation in the IWR6843AOPEVM reference PCB design.

Could you please confirm which impedance calculator or tool was used to calculate and validate the differential pair impedance for this design?
For reference, we are referring to PCB version SPRR418A (G version).

Additionally, to better understand the assumptions used in the reference design, could you please share the following PCB fabrication details for the IWR6843AOPEVM board?

• PCB base material
• Copper thickness (outer and inner layers)
• Plating details (via and PTH plating process)
• Finished PTH copper thickness
• Surface finish type (e.g., ENIG, HASL, etc.)
• Solder mask type and approximate thickness

This information will help us correctly align our PCB design approach and impedance calculations with the reference layout guidelines.

For our impedance calculations, we used Impedance calculator tool by Polar Instruments.

You can find all the fabrication details in the Design files uploaded on the IWR6843AOPEVM page (https://www.ti.com/tool/IWR6843AOPEVM) or download the zip file from this link and access the files in the "sprr418a\sprr418\Rev.G\Fabrication Package\Fabrication Drawing" folder.
