TIDA-00508 calculations

Hi TI team,

there are some questions related to data processing in 1-degree Dial sensor:

1. In tidu953.pdf    - 4.1.2 "Shape predestortion", what is the technique here: data are collected point by point (say, every 5 degrees) in an array,

then they are raised to some power (say, 1.02) and compared to sinus or cosinus function for the same points, and so this comparison is iterated

until reasonable resemblence is achieved. The exponent found is then used stored in EEPROM. Is it right?

2. Our waveforms look somewhat asymmetric:

Why is it so? Can it be corrected?

Here is the target (rotor?):

It consists of 4 spirals and looks not bad.

Is there something, that I've missed?

Best wishes,
