TMP101 temperature error depend on temperature actual data

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP101, TMP175, LM92, TMP75C, TMP107, TMP112

My customer wants to know the maximum Temperature Error of room temp to 85'C and room temp to -10'C. Datasheet P.7 Figure 4 could be a reference for this question. However, if the actual data of maximum error for this is available, please share them.

  • Hi,

TMP101 is specified over wider temperature range and that is the only test data available from production. Unfortunately we don’t have the data that you are looking for. But you are right that the typical curves can be used to get a feel for the ranges that you are interested in. But please be aware that TI only guarantees what is spelled out in the spec table.

Alternatively we have many other newer sensors such as TMP112, TMP107, TMP175, TMP75C, LM92, LM71that have much higher precision over the entire range. These devices may make your design work much simpler.

If you are interested, please go to this page to narrow down you search, there’s got to be one that is a perfect fit for you application!
