HDC1050 vs HDC1080

With the HDC1050 classified at Not Recommended for New Designs, and the HDC1080 is not shown as a DIRECT replacement, is there a document that highlights the differences? Other than accuracy and response time, all other specifications appear to be the same.

Hi David,
Yes, HDC1080 and HDC1050 are exactly the same ASIC, so their electrical characteristics are the same. The only difference between the 2 devices is in the sensing element, that in the HDC1080 has better performance in term of accuracy, response time and stability at high humidity.

Also, how can I get samples of the HDC1080? Delivery is shown as out to November - need some now!

Can the software control of the HDC1050 apply to just the software control of the HDC1080?

On other words, are control of the HDC1050 and HDC1080 common?

Dear Kuramochi-san

HDC1080 and HDC1050 are 100% software compatible.
It's possible to use exactly the same software control for the HDC1080 and HDC1050.

HDC1080 and HDC1050 are 100% compatible (hardware and software).
