Hi, my name is Valeriy, I am an engineer at DLA Inc. I have a question to the members of the forum about ultrasonic sensors. Particularly I have a question about TI’s PGA450 proximity sensing EVM. In a description of this EVM it is said that it measures distances from 10 cm to 8 m. Does TI have any ultrasound proximity sensing system that can measure distances form 2 cm up to 7 cm with .25 cm resolution.
In general I need a sensing system that can measure such distances (between 2-7 cm) in fluid. Any suggestions on using proximity sensing based on different physical principal would be greatly appreciated. The optical sensing cannot be used due to rough condition and the fluids that are not transparent to the visible lite. IR sensing will not work due to high absorption by the fluid and again rough condition it will be used in.
