Hi support team.

My customer is evaluating DDC1128 on EVM and customer's board.

He got a result that output data drop to zero code at low(not zero) input level on only customer's board, but on EVM.

We think because a flux cleaning has not been performed on customer's board.

Therefore we have a question.

Is a flux cleaning process performed to DDC1128EVM?

I'd appreciate it if you could answer my question.

Hello Higa,

I was informed that the EVM boards are deep cleaned to remove any flux residue under the BGA.
The output data dropping to zero for low input levels means there is contamination under the BGA that is pulling the inputs to ground or similar. Once the customer inputs enough current to overcome this, they see input non-zero.

Please have the customer do a flux cleaning on their board and check if this resolves the issue.

Which of cleaning or noncleaning is the flux of solder ball?
