FDC2214EVM: Interfacing with the USB protocol on the EVM module to pass it to our software

We're doing some dev work with the FDC2214EVM and bumping into a few limitations of the provided visualisation GUI. Does the board use a CDC Serial protocol for sending the data via USB? If so, is this documented anywhere? It would be really useful if we could write our own GUI to parse and process the data for our investigations.

Secondarily, are there any tips for optimising sensitivity when using interdigitated sensors with relatively high resistivity? We're easily able to get the system resonant frequency around the 5-6 MHz mark, but sensitivity seems lower than expected. Any pointers would be most appreciated.
