Hello,

1) My metal tank is 1m height and <100 cm width is it required that i should mount two piezo transducers to the tank ??? so that i can get accurate measurement ,should i require two or more than two ???if two is the case then i shoud use two tdc1000-7200 evm modules??

2) Now ,I want to connect sim 900 (gprs module) for my set up for providing internet so that i can able to fetch my data and send the data to my dash board via cloud.Is this possible with tdc 1000-7200 module????

Hello Murali,

1. You will only need one transducer for level measurement.

2. This is possible, but will require modification of the board in order to interface the MSP430 microcontroller to your gprs module.

Why im asking for two sensors is assume that your tank is not straight it is inclined in that case what will be the approach.

If the transducer is mounted in the very center of the bottom, the level read will remain relatively stable even if the tank is tilted as long as the fluid in the tank still reaches to the sides of the tank.

The modifications needed to interface with the GPRS module are entirely dependent on the module you have chosen and how you wish to communicate with it. The MSP430 on the TDC1000-TDC7200EVM is capable of multiple types of communication. The pins you must connect depend on how you choose to communicate with the GPRS module.

Should i reflash the msp430 for connecting with sim900A and is there any uart pin at the back of msp430 ,So that i can solder directly from sim900A tx ,rx to rx,tx of TDC1000-7200 EVM and moreover should i install some driver to msp controller ???for connecting with SIM900A.Please help me with this issue.
