Hello,

i will use the LDCCOILEVM with the boardLDC2114EVM.

For the Coils D, E and F, which capacitor i have to take?

And how i can get the inductance of this coils?

i can't find anywhere a calculator for streched and squared coils.

could you help me please?

Hi Murat,

Here is the reference guide for the LDCCOILEVM, which provides the inductance and Rp information for all the coils on the EVM board. In addition you could refer to the LDC design calculator tool to figure out appropriate capacitor values for the respective sensors.

Is this for a Inductive Touch application? if so, you may also be interested in the LDCTOUCHCOILEVM, the coils on this EVM were designed specifically for the LDC2114 and include an integrated mechanical spacer.

Hi,

this guide doesn't help me, because this is not for rectangular and not for stretched coils.
how I have to calculate the inductance and the capacitor?

Hi Murat,

The reference guide provides inductance values for all the coils on the LDCCOILEVM (including D, E, and F) which are either stretched or rectangular.

If you are looking to design a custom coil then you can use the LDC Design Calculator tool.

I tried to calculate with the coil designer and also in excel with the LDC_tools-ext30 but I get different values.
I want to show you with a screen shot but I can't put it inside here.
