LDC1051: Maximum sensor proximity value

Is the maximum proximity measurement for the LDC1051 limited to 128 (7 bit)?  I see that the resolution is 8 bit in the datasheet however I can't read a value greater than 128 in my application.

    Hi Kris,

    I will need to double check the resolution -I believe it has 129 output codes (i.e. you get output code 0x80) , which makes it from a simplistic viewpoint 8 bits.

    I recommend considering the LDC1101 if at all possible, as it is a significantly better device, from both usability and capability and with device-to-device matching. The price is quite close to the LDC1051, but the LDC1101 is superior even to the LDC1000.

    If you only need a switch output, the LDC0851 is a cheaper option.
