LM92: What does the given accuracy say?

I was planning to use the LM92 to measure skin temperature in a kneebrace. The goal of my project is to measure the temperature change after surgery. I found that the temperature after surgery rises between 0°C and 4°C. My question is whether the given accurancy of max +-0.33°C is a fixed value for each sensor, or if this value changes everytime I measue the temperature?

For clarification, if I measure every second, will my values allways be +0.20°C higher than the real temperature for example or will the values be +0.20°C on second one and -0.15°C at second two... In the last case is the difference between the two measurements 0.35°C wich is very high if there is only a rising between 0°C and 4°C.

  • Generally speaking, the main factor of the spread is device-to-device variation, not measurement-to-measurement noise. This means that a device which reads +0.1C error should continue to always report +0.1C error. Another device may read closer to the limit, say -0.25C error, but should consistently read around -0.25C error. Our measurement-to-measurement noise is typically close to 1 LSB, which is 0.0625C for this device.
