Hello experts,

My customer wants to monitor the temperature of the Intel CPU. The distance between CPU and temperature maybe 25cm.

He has a question: Can LM95234 support such long PCB trace? If it can support this feature, what needs to be done?

CTM need 4 remote sensor.

Which socket you suggest? LM95234 or TMP464?

    The limiting factor will depend on the max capacitance the remotes lines can drive, of course with long traces there are some techniques to minimize the parasitics capacitance. There are few recommendations in the LM95234 Data Sheet.

    We recommend the TMP464 since it has features that are quite critical for application like CPU temp monitoring, such as Series Resistance Cancellation, n-Factor Correction, Offset Correction, and Diode Fault Detection. In the TMP464 the max capacitance (filter plus trace) we recommend is 1000pF.
