For automotive applications the design is a very important topic.

Can the antennas be hidden or covered to integrate them into the surface of the car??

Can they be painted??

Hello Carsten,
Typically radar devices have a radome material above the antenna to allow the radio waves to pass through . These can be placed behind the car surface (like bumper also) since the 77Ghz waves can pass through the plastic material.
