Hi dear supporting team,

I installed the GUI which download from the website for TMP116, and I installed runtime together, while after installing, the GUI can not be open, it always stay in this page. pls help suggest the solution. tks!

Hi Vera,

In order to run the TMP116 GUI, the LabVIEW 2016 runtime engine is required to install in your computer during the installation wizard. There is a checkbox you must checked so that it will automatically download the software. If you still can't get it work, please call me.

yes, I checked the labwiew checkbox during installation wizard. I restart the laptop recently, it seems can open now. I will double check later with the evk connected. if there is still issue, I will double check with you. tks a lot!

hi Aaron, Jose,

I tried the GUI with the EVK, while it seems can not go ahead with the firmware update:

when I readback the firmware version, the GUI window will be closed automatically, and when I press update firmware, the window will keep in below status even I wait for more than half an hour , so is it possible that the evk is damaged? tks!

Hi Vera,

This is due to the firmware wasn't program properly. Since the software GUI doesn't recognize the EVM, the software will close automatically due to handle wasn't load sucessfully.

Please try the following steps to program the firmware again.

1. Do not run the TMP116EVM GUI. Locate the firmware software programming here C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TMP116EVM\Firmware Loader.
2. Double click the Firmware Loader. It should be automatically update the firmware. Please make sure you that you have admin privilege and run the firmware loader as admin.

Let me know if you are still encountered the issue.

thanks a lot for the continuous support!

I plug in the evk , and follow the steps and run with admin, but still meet the issue: when I press "any key" to continue, the dos window will be closed automatically. should the brd be damaged? tks!
