TMP435: Temperature between local and remote

Part Number: TMP435

Our customer is test the TMP435.

In most cases the temperature of local and remote has little difference, about 35 °C.

But when the remote temperature rises to 100 °C, the local temperature rises to 100 °C, too. Is that normal?

Thank you

  • Can you please share the diagram of your customer system? The remotes sensor and the local one are independent measurements, however if there is no thermal isolation where the remote diodes and the TM435 IC (local sensor)) are placed, they will measure the same.

Also the application note below should help on the PCB and system design guidelines for remotes in general. Please let us know f the document is clear on these topics.

    Thanks!

  • Hi, Jose:

Thank you for your help, the application note is very useful !

The problem has been fixed, it's because the customer's CPU automatically change the register of TMP435 after power-on. This makes TMP435 change from standard mode to extended mode. So the same temperature reads differently.

    Thanks again.
