Is FDC221X suitable for "Self capacitance type" and "Mutual capacitance type"?

HI Hirotaka-san,

What is the end application. Most applications that the FDC parts target are self-capacitance based however a mutual capacitance application is possible depending on the channel count requirement.

Please include a little more information regarding your application.

Thank you for your reply!

We would like to suggest FDC2212 instead of MSP430 captivate type.
MSP430 can use Mutual capacitance type function.
So, application is captivate switch.

The FDC2212 will definitely work for capacitive switch applications. You can most likely get by with lower resolution FDC211x products as well.
