IWR1642BOOST: Near Field Target

No matter how close the target is, the detection stays at 0.5m. So it never shows a target peak at 0.3, 0.2m etc. when the target is closer, it stays at an apparent 0.5m. Also, the radial noise becomes somewhat more exacerbated here and a pseudo 1st harmonic peak is generated at 1.25m.

Please advise.

Sorry for the delay. Somehow missed this ticket.

Just a quick note, in case it has not got your attention. First, the distance needs to be calibrated to reflect the actual distance. in SDK 1.1, such range bias cil command was provided and more details can be found in user guide.
Also there's a cli command to remove near DC range peaks. Please make sure those are turned off when you measure close target.
