Compiler/IWR1642: IWR1642 TIDEP-0090 CCS project

Part Number: IWR1642
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDEP-0090,

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

I'm following the steps in ' mmwave_demo_dev/radarDemo/RadarReceiverEDMA_mmwSDK_mmw_TMDme/BuildInstructions/tmdemo_gsg.pdf ' to run and build the TIDEP-0090 demo but I have problems creating the CCS project.

In slide 24 is stated:

To create a CCS project for debugging and cross-referencing code and definition, create a empty CCS project with device variant set to "Generic C674x Device", then right click on the project->new->folder->advanced, choose "linked to alternate location" and add both MMW_SDK folder, and mmwave_demo_dev folder.

I followed these steps, created an empty C674x project, then added demo folder and SDK as linked location, but I ended up with an empty project with linked only the SDK folder and not the Traffic Monitoring demo src.

What am I doing wrong? Can you explain how to create/import the CCS project for traffic monitoring demo on IWR1642?

Another question, this demo is based on SDK 1.0 but now SDK 1.1 is available, will the demo be updated with the new sdk?

  • Hi Luca,

    I'm afraid that without a CCS .projectspec file it is a bit more complicated to create a CCS Project for the demo. I will correct those instructions. For now, please continue to use DOS+gmake to build. You can still use CCS to debug.

    We have updated the TM demo to SDK 1.1, but we have not completed testing. We are also creating a .projectspec for both MSS and DSS executables; they will be posted to soon.
