Can you please clarify the pin outs of LM235?

Is adj output pin?

Should I connect R1 between V+ and adj?

Hi Jenitt,

Please look at the pin configuration section and section 8.3 (system examples) of datasheet.

The adjust pin can be used to calibrate the sensor like in Figure 12. The output voltage is at the cathode (+) of the LM235.
For a basic application, connect R1 bias resistor from the + (cathode pin) to a supply voltage (see Figure 13). You don't have to use the adjust pin in the basic example.

Jenitt,

For basic operation yes. Did you noticed the forward voltage figure 11 and the recommended bias current 0.4 to 5mA?
You should use those information to ensure proper biasing over temperature as the forward voltage changes with temp.
