LM89: LM89-1CIMM/NOPB , LM89-1DIMM/NOPB

Part Number: LM89
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP411

Hi All,

do you know the default (without setting the value  via SW) trigger temperature for the :

T_CRIT_A Output pin

ALERT Output pin

thanks a lot

  • Hi Igor,

The defaults are shown on Page 6 of the LM89 datasheet.

T_CRIT_A idles at a logic high, and asserts logic low when the Remote Temperature exceeds 110C. It will return to logic high when the Remote Temperature falls below 100C, because T_CRIT HYST = 10C by default. This is true for all versions of LM89.

T_CRIT_A will also assert logic low when when Local Temperature exceeds 85C in the C versions. In the D version, it will assert when Local Temperature exceeds 105C. It will return to logic high when Local Temperature falls below 75C or 95C, respectively.

An ALERT interrupt is generated when Local or Remote Temperature exceeds 70C. An ALERT interrupt is also generated when Local or Remote Temperature goes below 0C. This is the same for all versions of LM89.

Note that TMP411 is a newer device which is pin compatible and offers higher temperature accuracy with lower power consumption.

    Thanks,
    Ren
