AFE58JD32EVM: Need confirmation that this EVM works with another TI EVM

Part Number: AFE58JD32EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSW14J50EVM,

Hello,

We have a customer who is interested in the TSW14J50EVM to be used in conjunction with the AFE58JD32EVM if possible.

The TSW14J50EVM is listed on the AFE58JD32EVM page, the customer would like confirmation that they do indeed work together.

Could someone please advise?

Thanks,

  • Hello Gabe,

Yes the TSW14J50EVM is the FPGA data capture card that is required for operation with AFE58JD32EVM if the customer is planning to use the JESD interface.
  • Hi Praveen and Gabe ,

    Thank you! Please see below

According to AFE58JD32EVM web page link : www.ti.com/.../AFE58JD32EVM

There are two DATA CAPTURE BOARDS: Is this true?

    1- TSW14J50EVM

    2- TSW1400EVM

I have the second one: Should I purchase the first board ( TSW14J50EVM ) given above?

If I can use the second one which is TSW 1400EVM, I have another problem with GUI. The GUI comes with the board is called HSDC Pro. HSDC Pro does not support AFE58JD32EVM (32 Channel )but it supports AFE58JD16E (16 Channel )

In short, I would like to make the following configuration works:

1- AFE58JD32EVM (32 Channel AFE) with a data capture board along with the right GUI.

Could you guide me for the following items:

    1- Board and Software selection

2- Combining with AFE and Data capture board electrically including how to power these two boards at the same time? AFE Boards does not comes with a power supply. It comes with wire connections for 5V power supply.

    Thanks and best regards,
  • Hi Praveen,

I got the following error message when I use 16 channel EVM.  This is separate question. The questions I had above are still high priority for me.

The message GUI gave : " Specified Device GUI EXE path in the INI does not exist . Kindly double check it "

  • Hi,

    Please ignore my previous questions.

Great news! I was able to communicate with AFE58JD32EVM with TSW1400EVM.

But I have new question related with NI Labview support for HSDC Pro. Please guide me for the following error message:

  • Hi,

The similar error message is also generated with AFE58JD32EVM GUI. Please see the error message 5000 below when you click on "Script" menu "Launch Window"
