AWR1642: Driver vital signal demo does not show heart/breathing rate

Hi champion,
My customer runs the vital signal demo on AWR1642 EVM. The demo is in mmwave_automotive_toolbox_1_2_0. When started the GUI, there is not output in the screen. It is like below:

I tired it on my EVM, there is no problem. I double checked the image and GUI location in customer' side, and found no problem.

Coud you help to check? what may be the cause?

Hi,

Here are some general debugging tips

1) check that power supply is 5V 2.5A min
2) when one of the demos does not work, check if another demo works. For example in this case, please try on the same EVM the mmWave SDK demo. This will prove that the EVM is working fine.

Hi Cesar,
Thanks for the good advice. We double checked them in customer.
The hardware is verified in my side, but seems don't output in customer. Could you review the log to see what is the problem? I checked the log and compared it with the log in my side. The log stopped at:

Range-Bin End Index is : 26

Total Payload size from the UART is : 220

Padding Factor is : 7

Total Payload size from the UART is : 224

In normal case, there are following log. Could you check why we stop at this point?

It looks like the UART communication is broken.

Are you able to run any of the other demos?

Adam,

We are not able to reproduce this issue.

It may be a problem with Windows Installation
