AWR1642: detected speed information

When awr1642 is placed on a moving vehicle, what is the detected speed information? Is it referring to the relative speed between the detection target and the moving vehicle? Does the speed value negative mean that the speed of the detection target is less than the speed of the moving vehicle?

Hi

A radar measures the relative speed of the target.
Positive velocity means that the target is moving closer to the sensor. Negative velocity means that the target is moving towards the sensor

here is the corrected version

A radar measures the relative speed of the target.
Positive velocity means that the target is moving AWAY from the sensor. Negative velocity means that the target is moving towards the sensor
