AWR1243: Max how many Tx can be turned on simultaneously in a single chirp

1)In AWR1243 there are totally 3TX, is possible to use (turn on) all 3Tx simultaneously in a chirp?

2)I saw a constraint stating that Maximum of only 2TX simultaneously can be turned in a chirp? What is the reason behind it?

3)What happens if i use (turn on) All 3Tx simultaneously in a single chirp?

Hi,

It is for short range radar, and to measure both azimuth and elevation.
As velocity is directly related to no Tx, planning to use all 3Tx simultaneously in BPM mode.

Hi,

the current AWR1243 supports only 2 TX simultaneously turned on.

This is a limitation of the firmware

Hi Cesar,

By the time you come back, we tested by making 3 Tx turned on simultaneously in BPM mode and Output looks fine.

But i want to know because of turning on 3 Tx simultaneously will it be there any additional power dissipation ? Will it cause any damage to the AWR1243 ?

Hello Vishnu,
The AWR1243 device allows turning ON only 2TX simultaniously. There is a variant of the device, AWR1243P which allows 3 TX simultaneously. Please contact your locals sales support to more details on the AWR1243P devices.
