Hi Adalberto,

This has largely to do with the sample rate chosen for conversions, along with the ambient temperature that the sensor is exposed to. Please be aware that the sensor uses temperature information to calculate the humidity reading reported through I2C. If laptop exhausts or any heating/cooling elements are blown onto the device the readings will become sporadic.

Additionally, to receive a better averaged result that will minimize any self-heating from the EVM, I would recommend that you set the Output Data Rate to 0.1Hz or lower, this is accomplished through the configuration tab.

Hi Matt,
Perceived oscillation occurs with the sensor inside a climate camera used to calibrate humidity and temperature sensors.
The conditions are fully controlled and stabilized, both temperature and humidity.
I changed the sampling in several ways, using sampling more frequently every 1 second.
Only the humidity oscillates, the temperature stays stable.

Thanks for the information. Can you lower the sampling speed, as suggested above the recommendation is to increase the sampling period (>1s) to minimize self heating. Additionally, I would recommend that you additionally try to manually trigger.

It's also important to note that the EVM has small heat sources as well, and to further isolate the sensor from this you can optionally break the smaller PCB along the perforated line and connect back to the main board through wires. This is explained in the User's Guide.
