I use DCA1000+AWR1642 to get raw data for analysis.
when adcStarTime=4us, rampEndTime=100us, ADC samples=900, DCA1000 PostPro is as below

I'm not sure that there is a distortion at begining of the data.So I set adcStarTime=24us, rampEndTime=100us, ADC samples=750,DCA1000 PostPro is as below, I repeat the operation and get the same results,that is why? what's wrong with it ? How to avoid getting this?

Hi Lu,

Apologies for delayed response. I tried the scenario at my setup and I don't see the issue at our end. Please see below

ADC start time: 4msec, ADC samples:900

ADC start time: 15msec, ADC samples:750

Can you let us know if you changed any other settings.

We operated DCA1000+1642 in accordance with ''DCA1000 quick start' and “mmwave studio user guide”.

Can you tell us your setup as detail as possible?

Hi Lu,

I am using the same Setup as you but I used AWR1243 instead of AWR1642. I can do the same experiment with AWR1642.

But, Can you test your configuration with lower sampling rate of 6.25msps and less number of samples. See if this helps.

We will test our configuration with lower samlping rate of 6.25Msps later, But can we know your result of using AWR1642?
By the way,the maximum ADC samlping rate of AWR1642 is 6.25 msps, when ADC format is complex 1x, right? But why we can get the result seems correct at first time as figure1 in above?
In some documents, the complex (I and Q) DFE output rate is 2.5-18.75Msps, why we can't use the setting of 10Msps（>6.25Msps）?

Hi,

I am using mmWaveStudio GUI to configure the parameters.

Also 18.75msps sampling rate is supported in AWR1243. AWR1642 only supports 6.25msps

See the result with AWR1642.

I wonder why we can get the Detction&angle estimation results which seems correct.
If the mistake is ADC configuration,we ues the ADC format real ,it will be OK? (AWR1642)

Hi,

Can you elaborate on the problem? Do you get similar result as me when using 6.25msps sampling rate.

Real ADC mode is ok. Complex 1x gives 3dB better noise figure.
