LM75B: Repeatability spec

Part Number: LM75B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP1075

Hi Dear expert,

What is the repeatability spec for LM75B? I didn't find it in the datasheet.

I see the TMP1075 repeatability is 0.0625C, can we take it as reference?

thanks very much!

Joyce

  • Hello Joyce,

You're correct that we don't specify a repeatability for the LM75B. Repeatability is more relevant when the resolution of the temperature reading gets smaller, so it is not something a lot of our old parts have specified. In this case, the LM75B only has a temperature resolution of 0.5C (9-bits), so it couldn't support a 0.0625C repeatability like the TMP1075 does. Even on the TMP1075, we only specify typical repeatability rather than a min and max.

If this is for a new design, I reccomend using the TMP1075. The TMP1075 is higher performance at a better cost than other parts in the TMP/LM75x family.

    Best Regards,
