HI,

I had seen the new board is released named AWR1642BOOST-ODS with FOV Antenna. Is this especially for obstacle detection ? Is it better to measure the obstacle detection with FOV antenna than the previos boards

Q2) can i also measure the vital signs lab with these FOV antenna board?  does it also gives the better measurements of heart and breath rate than the AWR1642 with normal antenna?

    Hi,
    AWR1642-ODS EVM is mainly to get the more elevation view compare to BOOST EVM.
    And based on different Antenna EVM your application needs to accomodate this change. For Obstacle detection demo, it requires elevation info along with azimuth, so for that reason AWR1642-ODS EVM provides more FOV due to different antenna pattern.

    For Vital sign you don't need extra elevation info, this demo works sufficiently with default AWR1642 EVM (AWR1642BOOST). Moving to ODS EVM won't give much advantage.
