Planning to use MMWAVEPOEEVM as suggested by TI for increased data rate support out of 6843.

6843 with BOOST module and UART interface has a 921600 baud rate , limiting the data dump ( Doppler and Azimuth heatmap and pointcloud data) to 5 fps.

Seems the POE board uses a SPI Interface.

Would like to know what is the data rate supported by this interface . Any measured numbers will be helpful.

Hi,

The IWR6843ISK has been tested for up to 10Ghz.
Please see C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_00_00_08\packages\ti\drivers\spi\test\xwr68xx for throughput test details

Is it 10Mbps or 10Gbps ?

10Gbps on SPI sounds a bit like a 10G serdes lanes.

On looking through the code I found the following

Task_sleep(10);
Test_spiMSP432xThroughput(masterMode, 10000000U); // Does "U" stand for a multiplication factor of 1000?

.........

System_printf("Debug: SPI throughput test with bit rate = %d Kbps\n", bitRate/1000); <- "bitRate" is simple bps and not Kbps ..
