In TIDEP-01006, the dependencies between the required hardware and software are not clear. So I want to know the validated combination of the hardware and software.

I guess that the validated combination of hardware and software is as follows.

[Validated mmwave hardware]

- IWR6843ISK (IWR6843 ES1.0)
- IWR1443BOOST (IWR1443 ES3.0)

[Validated processor hardware]

- TMDSEVM572X Rev.A3a

[Validated software]

- mmWave SDK v03.01.00.02 (The support for IWR6843 is provided starting from version 03.01.00.02)

- Linux Processor SDK v05.02.00.10 (Add IWR6843 (60GHz) support to the TI design TIDEP-01006)

- Ubuntu 14.04.5
- ROS Indigo Igloo (Release date: July 22nd, 2014)

Is my guess correct?

Your guess is correct.
However ROS kinetic on the ubuntu machine is also fine

Is ROS kinetic on the ubuntu machine really available?

The last step in "3.2.1.2.1 Ubuntu Linux Box with ROS Indigo LTS" on the design guide describes that some of packages for ROS application on the ubuntu machine are copied from the Linux Processor SDK that pre-installs Indigo.

Hi Charles-san,

There is a mistake about the validated software for IWR1443.

[Validated software for IWR1443]

- mmWave SDK v02.01.00.04 (OOB demo for IWR1443 is not supported by the current SDK v3.x)

I have tried running the TIDEP-01006 demo but it does not succeed. So I would like to request that the validated HW and SW versions be clearly described in the next release of the design guide.

I have succeeded running the TIDEP-01006 demo with the above combination of hardware and software. I achieved it by starting from reinstalling Ubuntu into PC. I seems to made some mistakes in the step to set up the Linux Box.
