Hi there,

When the MMWAVEPOEEVM with the IWR1642BOOST, which jumpers should be placed/removed in order to assure a safe power connection?

Can it power the IWR1642BOOST only with POE (without power saving configs)?

Also, is the boards file for the MSP432E401Y EVM suitable for use with the MMWAVEPOEEVM.

Last, are you planning to release any project examples specifically for the MMWAVEPOEEVM?

I would like to start by using the UART interface, only for TLV's.
Further it would be nice to have some more information using either SPI or another interface.

Hi,

The UART interface needed is routed to the on board XDS110 by default, you will need to reroute those to the 20 pin header. Please not that doing this prevent you from flashing via XDS110.

SPI is a preferred option since no hardware change is needed. You need to ensure the mux switch are set to route the SPI signals to the 40 pin header and update the SW to route via SPI not UART

Yes, after reviewing schematics I noticed that, although some resistors could be exchanged to possibly do that.

I have another question, is there any documentation available regarding if it is possible and how to connect the iwr1642boost to the mmwavepoeevm?

Hi,

unfortunately we don't have such document at this time. However you simply need to mount the boards together using the 2 20pin connectors and ensure signals are routed correctly, and necessary DNP resistors are placed.
