NFC-DATALOGGER-EVM: Tried to start the datalogger with ST command, but....

Part Number: NFC-DATALOGGER-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-FET

Hi all,

I tried to start up the Datalogger with a simple NDEF message 'ST' as stated in the manual (page 16). However, after I've written that NDEF message onto the board, it isn't readable anymore. Nor my Android phone nor my uTrust device aren't able to detect the NFC tag anymore. Obviously, I've done something wrong. The question is, how do I fix this? Do I need the MSP-FET MCU Programmer? Or is there any other way to 'reset' the board? It was working just fine and I could detect the welcome message perfectly. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks in advance,

Niels

  • Dear Niels -

To reprogram, with the JTAG connection (J3) on the board - see table 1 on page 14 here for connection to a FET (could be from MSP430 LaunchPad or the housed grey or black box version.

Software binary looks to be here:

if you go to this path, you will find the hex and out files (use either one) to load.

    C:\..Cold Chain Code\Cold_Chain_Demo_v1_00\Debug

That should get you back up and running.
