Here are the questions. please advice. thanks.

1. When System(Power tools) is in operating and LMT87's sensing temp. goes up to 80degree, it leads to the system power is disconnected, and the bias power of the LMT87 is also turned OFF. At this moment, we restart the power for the system(assume sensing temp of the LMT87 is still at 80degree), What's the output voltage of the LMT87? is it 1539mV?

2. When IC's sensing temp is changed quickly from 80degree to 120degree, The Vout of the LM87 would be from 1539mV to 973mV slowly and taking about 10S, correct?

Brian,

1. Yes. If you power cycle at 80 degree, when device starts on it will report 1539mV output. As long as ambient temperature is still 80degree.

2. Are you referring to the thermal response rate? The thermal response is measured as 63% of the final temperature reading. For LMT87 this is about 10s so you can expect 63% of the 120degree reading, or 613mV.
