Part Number: TMP390

The TMP390 has 2 modes of operation; dual channel or single channel for hot trip point.

The question is, when using it in one channel hot trip point; can the temperature range be the same as dual channel  hot tip?

I need to trip at 38C with 5C hysteresis and lowest it shows in chart is 62C; can this be done?

    Dave,

    The table you are referencing is one channel operation, but with a single resistor to set the trip point. In this case, you cannot trip lower than 62C.

    However, you can still achieve your trip of 38C with 5C hysteresis, but you will have to use an external resistor for SETA and SETB pins. You can ground the OUTB pin, similar to one channel operation.

    For the trip point and hysteresis you mentioned, please select 1.87kOhm for SETA pin. You can select any of the 5C hysteresis resistors from table 2 for the SETB resistor.
