IWR6843: people counting demo (TIDEP-01000) with AM5728 as embedded Linux Host?

Part Number: IWR6843
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM5728, TIDEP-01000, , TIDEP-01006

Team,

Do we have some guidelines to use the people counting demo (TIDEP-01000) on an AM5728 (as an embedded Linux Host) instead of a PC?
I have seen that IWR6843 is beeing used with Linux ROS (in TIDEP-01006) but it does not use the matlab runtime on the Linux side.

The idea is to be able to acquire the IWR6843 data via UART just to get the people count.
How can it be done? Do we have the format of the data passed over USB/UART?
Do we have some code to replace the matlab runtime? The graphical interface is not necessarily needed but it needs to be able to process/calculate the people count.

It would be interesting to have some python based host side code example this way it might be used on both PC and embedded systems.

Any pointers for this?

Thanks in advance,

A.
